To all library users of the Pacific Island Research room and collection:
The library administration has elected to move the Pacific Island Collection to the old Media Services area on a temporary basis in order to keep the library refurbishing project on target and to also diminish disruption of the use of the collection during spring 2025.
The Pacific Island Research room will be operating as a closed stack collection. This means that library users will need to look up materials using our library search feature found on the library's web page. After finding the information, the library user will then request the Pacific Island Research room workers to pull the materials from the closed stack collection. There will be no browsing of stacks due to how the collection is stored in the new space.
Library users will be required to bring their university IDs in order to use the books in the Pacific Island collection. Note due to the smallness of the interim space, library users will be permitted to use the materials outside of the room but within the library. Library user IDs will be returned upon the return of the Pacific Island materials.
