Appointments

Both walk-in and scheduled appointment visits are available, Monday - Friday between 9 am and 4:30 pm. Appointments can be scheduled by phone (808) 675-3868 or email archives@byuh.edu.

Requests will be accommodated as staff is able, and we suggest contacting the archives at least 24-48 hours in advance of your desired appointment time.

The BYU–Hawaii University Archives is in the Joseph F. Smith Library, Room 210 | 55-220 Kulanui Street | Laie, HI 96762.

Public parking is available in the front campus Main Parking Lot accessed via Naniloa Loop. The campus map shows locations of parking lots and their proximity to the Joseph F. Smith Library.

Reopening January 2, 2026

The BYU–Hawaii Archives will reopen fully on January 2, 2026. Thank you for your patience as we finish updating all collections locations in our database; we are almost done! Until official reopening, please submit any archive materials request through email, or knock on our door in our new location on the second floor of the library, and we will do our best to locate your items. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and ongoing support during this time.
