LIBRARY USE PRIVILEGES: BYU-Hawaii students, faculty and staff may borrow materials using THEIR OWN current University ID Card.
Children age 12 or older may use Library resources by purchasing a Guest Card ID or Dependent ID (available at the Aloha Center).
Children under the age of 12 MAY NOT borrow library materials and must be accompanied by an adult while in the library.
Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the library after 6pm and high school children are not allowed after 9pm.
LOAN PERIODS: Students, staff and guest-card holders may borrow books for three weeks (Faculty for longer periods), with a three-week renewal as needed. Periodicals, atlases, reference books, Pacific Islands, Special Collections and non-print materials do not circulate.
Education Curriculum are checked out to BYU-Hawaii Education Majors or students taking education classes only.
BOOK HOLDS: A hold may be requested at the Circulation Desk for any books currently checked out.
Requesters will be notified when the books are available.
BOOK RETURNS AND FINES: All borrowed printed materials should be returned to the Circulation Desk.
Book drop for after hours is located outside the entrance to the library.
Interlibrary loan books should be returned to the Circulation Desk.
LIBFLIX DVD Loans: Only BYU-Hawaii students and employees may check out 2 DVDs for 2 days.
No renewals;$1/day overdue fine per DVD.
Fines are collected at the Circulation Desk for all overdue materials. (Reserve materials, LibFlix DVDs, lost books, etc.)


ACADEMIC COMPUTING LABS:Library (675-3447), Aloha Center 133 & Mac lab MCK 177 (675-3826). A valid BYUH ID is required.
ARCHIVES: Research access to selected archival materials about the university, community & LDS Church in Hawaii. (675-3869)
GROUP STUDY ROOMS: Reserve group study rooms in Library and Aloha Center, for BYUH students, faculty and staff.

LIBRARY ORIENTATION: Library orientations for individuals or groups may be requested by calling (675-3884), (675-3866) or (675-3946).
This web site will allow you full access to all features of the library, including library resources, the online catalog, indexes and databases, and internet resources.
LOST & FOUND: Lost items are kept at the Circulation Desk (675-3876) for one day, then sent to the Aloha Center front desk. (675-3545)
ACADEMIC MULTIMEDIA LAB: Provides assistance in developing graphic and photographic instructional materials. (675-3870)
Tape Duplication Services assists in video and audio production and duplication. (675-3849)
LIBRARY INFORMATION DESK: Librarians and student assistants provide information and research assistance. (675-3878)
RESERVE MATERIALS: Kept at the Circulation desk. (675-3876)
Late fee of $1.00 an hour will be charged for overdue Reserve materials.
MEDIA SERVICES: Provides Media Equipment support. BYU-Hawaii ID is required to borrow media equipment. (675-3855)

REFERENCE COLLECTION: Located on the first floor, arranged by Library of Congress Classification numbers.
