Remote Learning Options

  • Library Tutorials and Instruction in Your Canvas Course

    If you would like to add the Library's Basic Research Tutorial or Advanced Research Tutorial to your Canvas course as a module and assignment, please follow the instructions below.

    1. Choose Commons on the left menu bar.
    2. Search for "Joseph F. Smith Library Tutorials".
    3. Choose Import/Download on the right-hand menu.

      Remote Library Instruction or In-class

      Or if you prefer, you can always schedule a remote library instruction session with one of the librarians to address a specific assignment in your class. We are happy to offer a live Zoom presentation or a PowerPoint video recording. Contact us through email to schedule at library@byuh.edu.

    2. How to Access My Library Account

      1. Access My Library account online.
      2. Locate your checked out items, click on the items you would like to renew, and click on Renew Items.

    3. Streaming Video Resources

      While at BYUH, you have access to many licensed streaming video collections. They are mostly not discoverable through the library search box. To see a list of licensed streaming video films, please see our streaming video guide.

    4. Streaming Audio Resources

      While at BYUH you have access to many licensed streaming audio collections. They are mostly not discoverable through the library search box. To find our licensed streaming audio products, please visit our streaming audio guide.

    5. Ebooks Are Available

      While at BYUH you have access to many ebooks licensed by the library. Not all of the ebooks are discoverable through the library search box. To search for more ebooks, please visit our ebooks guide to all of the e-book collections offered by the library.
