He was born in Wailuku, he is survived by wife Margaret; sons Lee and Lance; daughter Jamie Tengan; brothers Jack, Minoru, Sammy and Stanley; sisters Tsuruko Oshiro, Sharon Yonamine and Natalie Fujii; and a grandchild. Antone Zablan, 97, of Honolulu, a retired transportation foreman with Pearl Harbor Shop 02, died Monday Feb 16, 1998 in St. Francis Hospice.  Born in Halawa, Kohala, Hawaii, he is survived by wife Julia, daughter Ada Power, stepdaughters Merle Toriki and Barbara Marks, four grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harriet M. Zablan, 81, of Honolulu, a retired secretary at  Hickam Air Force Base, died Feb. 18, 1998  at home. Born in Waiakea,  Hilo, she is survived by brother Takasato Matsuura and sisterHideko Mino. Services held.

 

Mary K. “Aunty Mary” Zablan, 88, of Honolulu died July 11, 1998  in Honolulu.  Born in Honolulu, she is survived by sons John H. “Johnny Boy,” James “Kimo” and Nicholas Joaquin; brother Donald Akana; sisters Margaret Wong and Caroline Akana; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Shinyei Zakahi, 83, of Aiea died Saturday Dec 19, 1998 in Queen's Hospital. He was born in Puuloa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Hatsue; son George K.; daughters Nancy Sakima, Helen Shimazu, Edith Araki, Hazel Ginoza and Aileen Yoshimura; sister Kiyoko Chinen, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. June L.L. Zakrzewicz, 47, of Honolulu, a retired employee of Ala Moana Hotel, died Sunday Jan 11, 1998 in Straub Hospital. She was also a musician from Pauoa Valley. Born in Honolulu, she is survived by husband Gene; brother Kemp Naniho; and half sisters Alicia and Mamo Naniho and Barbara Campbell.  Graveside services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Kawaihao Church. Audrey Y.T. Zane, 67, of Mililani, a retired state clerical worker, died last Tuesday Jun 2, 1998 in Honolulu. She was Born in Honolulu, she is survived by husband Kenneth; daughters Kendra and Sheri Zane and Cindy Chun; son Kenneth K.K.; sisters Ellen Lim, Jean Nathaniel and Allison Char; brothers Maurice, Marvin and Myron Char, and a grandchild. Edwin Y.S. Zane, 60, of Honolulu, a retired carpenter, died May 31, 1998. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Jean; son Stewart; daughters Susan Maeshiro and Tammy Lee; sisters Alberta Sato and Merlynn Komoda, and a grandson. Services were private.

Clara N.M. Ziesenhenne, 91, of Kula, Maui, a retired physical education teacher at Punahou School, died Monday Dec 14, 1998 in Maui Memorial Hospital. Born in Honolulu, she is survived by husband Fred C., brothers Kamehameha and Fredrick Maertens and sisters Mary Jane Burner and Julia Wells. No services.

 

Patricia A. Zimmerman, 53, of Kilauea, Kauai, a shiatsu therapist and holistic healer, died yesterday Sep 30, 1998 at home. Born in Illinois, she is survived by son David Lopez; daughter Theresa Lopez; brother Richard Calkins; and sisters Susan Davis and Joan Calkins. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Hanalei Bay. Chester K. Zukeran, 82, of Kaneohe, a retired salesman for Armour and Co., died March 3, 1998  in Queen’s Hospital. He was born in Heeia.
