Mary Santos Jacinth, 92,  of Waianae, died Jan. 26, 1995.  She was born in Kokomo, Maui and wasa housewife. Survived by sons, Seraphine Jr. and Abel; daughters, Catherine Huddleston, Cecilia Carvalho and Lucy Anderson; brother George Santos; sister, Philamena  Franco; 25 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. Robert Lee Jackson, 62, of  Waianae, died  Feb. 2, 1995. He was born in  Kansas.  Survived by sons, Monte K., Jamey K., Noel K. and Robert K.; daughter,Robin K.; mother, Helen M. of Kansas; sister, Alice Underwood and Dolly Hall, both of Oklahoma; and 11 grandchildren. Brianna Kristine Jacobson,5 ½  months of Honolulu, died Feb. 1, 1995.  She was born in Honolulu.  Survived by parents, Bryan and Christine; brother, Brandon; sister, Brittnay; and grandparents, Rosemarie Okamoto, Sydney Jacobson and Richard and Judy  Lippard.  Burial: Hawaiian Memorial Park.  [Adv Feb. 4, 1995[

 

Lani G. James, 73, died Jan. 29, 1995  in Las Vegas, NV. She was born in Honolulu, was head cashier at Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel for many years until her retirement.  She was a hula dancer with Tom Aiona Hula Troop in the late ‘30s performing at the Royal Hawaiin Hotel and other well known establishments in Honolulu.  She was a member of the Elks Club in Honolulu and Las Vegas, member of Las Vegas Hawaiian Civic Club. She is survived by husband, Clifford W. James; daughter, Mrs. Lani D. Leach; son, StanleyG. Griep; daughter-in-law Joann Griep; five grandchildren;  two great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Thelma (Tweetie) Eaton; nieces, nephews, cousins.  Inurnment: National Memorial of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Robert James Jaques, 52, of Naalehu,  Kauai, died Jan. 3, 1995.  He was born in San Mateo, CA and was the owner of Sunshine Carpet Cleaners.He was a member of the Jazz Club and a volunteer with the American Heart  Association.  Survived by wife, Roberta L. Ruddie Jaques;  parents Don and Lucille McAtee of Citrus Heights, CA; brothers-in-law Harry Ruddle ofKailua-Kona and Reggie Ruddle of Waikoloa; sisters-in-law, Leilani Nishiyama of Hilo and Eleanore Kunitake ofKaiaoa.[Adv Jan. 7, 1995]

 

Olivia Ribeiro Jenks, 80, of Honolulu, died Feb. 9, 1995.  She was born in Honolulu.  Survived by son, Charles W.; daughters, Mrs. June Clausen of California and Mrs. Eleanor Williams; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Burial: Diamond Head Memorial Park.  [Adv Feb. 14, 1995]

 

Margaret I. Chosoon Jhun, born Aug. 29, 1914 at Kula, Maui.  Died Dec. 4, 1995 in Bakersfield, CA. He is survived by son Joe Keliimakuaole S. (Amelia)Mai Jr. of Kihe, Maui;  daughter Huilani Mary M. (Jerry) Malone of Bakersfield, CA.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Caroline  Auoholani Jimenez, 71,of Honolulu, diedFeb. 13, 1995.  She was born in Honolulu.  Survived by husband, Bernardo; daughters, Eileen P. Wright of Kauai, Carol Mae K. Lopez, Bernardene Leek and Karen Simeona; sons, Bernard S. and Dominic L. of Texas; brother, Edward A. BenjaminGulbran Johnasen Sr., 91, of Campbell, CA died Jan. 4, 1995. He was born in Ookala, Hawaii and retired from Laupahoehoe Sugar Company. Survived by sons, Gilbert and Benjamin, both of California; brothers, Jonah of Hilo and William of Laupahoehoe; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. Peter Westdahl Johnson, 87, of Honolulu, died Jan. 26, 1995. He was born in Los Angeles and was a retired auto mechanic. Survived by wife, Minnie L.; daughter, Hermina L. Dr. Richard A. Johnson of Ho­nolulu, a self-employed optome­trist, died last Dec. 23, 1995 in Honolulu.  Johnson, 60, a U.S. Army veteran, was born in Meriden, Conn. He is survived by wife Jacquelline L.; H son Scott; stepsons Joshua and al Britton Tabor; stepdaughter   Sloane Perroots; brother Edward and sisters Alberta Cottrell, May  Gwara and Ellen Kelly. Jane D.Johnstone, of Kailua and Makiki, died Feb. 6, 1995.  She was born in Upland, CA and attended Pomona College and was a graduate of the University of Hawaii.  Survived by sons,  William B. III and Paul R. of  Honolulu; five grandchildren.[Adv Feb. 7, 1995]

 

Rose Hisae Jones, 82, of Waianae, died Jan. 12, 1995 at her home.   She was born May 30, 1912 in Honolulu and was a member of Koboji Temple.  Survived by sons, Harold Toshio (Gina),  Merwyn Seichi (Terry), John Yoshito (Judy), JamesRobert (Babe),  Carl Uichi (Shirley) of Utah, Russell Walter (Aloha), Don Shigeru (Roselyn), William Chris(Karen). of Georgia and Hugh Allan (Margaret); daughters,Mrs. James (Alice H.)  Kishida, Thelma H.
